I am a writer/ artist getting ready to publish the first issue of my first comic, Keith and Demi Find a God. I have tried many creative outlets, but my love for comics and storytelling has brought me new life (literally only 23 years old). I, as a full-time worker and student, make comics in the few minutes of time between the normal chaos of life, but the goal is to, one day, tell these stories and make comics my career. I am self taught, though I will be attending art school starting this Fall and have worked on my craft (no hyperbole) every day since committing to making my comics dream into a reality. My favorite books at the moment are If Destruction Be Our Lot by Matthew Rosenberg and Andy Macdonald, the current Daredevil run from Stephanie Phillips and Lee Garbett, The Fury of Firestorm by Jeff Lemire and Rafael de Latorre (really anything Jeff makes), and, if you haven’t read it before, the re-released Black and White edition of Do a Powerbomb from Daniel Warren Johnson is a treat!
